Sarina Sugar Shed is a multi-award winning attraction that showcases the rich heritage of sugar cane farming in Queensland.
Our one-hour guided tours offer the full paddock-to-plate experience, from how sugar cane is planted right through to tastings of products made onsite.
All year round, you can see our own sugar cane patch and historic machinery used to cut cane.
Then it’s into the factory for a nibble on raw sugar cane, and a taste of freshly-squeezed cane juice.
During the cane crushing season (late June to early December), we also operate our unique miniature sugar mill to show how cane is processed – it is a replica of how the large mills operate, just on a smaller scale!
Then comes the highlight for many visitors – the tastings of the products that we produce, including our Chefs’ Gusto range of gourmet sauces, chutneys and relishes, our barrel-aged rums and fruit liqueurs made in our distillery, and other goodies!
We also offer special experiences such as the Distiller’s Sensory Tour.
